Observation and caretaking in the wildflower mini-meadow.
We didn’t cut many seedheads or dead stalks because they were being used by a large number of Garden Spiders to support their webs – layers and layers of flag-like webs phasing in and out of visibility with the movement of the air.

We noted dock seedheads, ragwort, yarrow, hedge bedstraw, red campion, salad burnet, purple toadflax, and common mallow.

Some stems were picked to print cyanotypes in the autumn sunshine.
