PLEASE NOTE that due to the ongoing construction work in the former industrial area surrounding The Nest, there is currently no parking on site – there is, however, ample free on street parking nearby. We encourage anyone for whom parking at any distance would be a barrier to accessing the building to contact birdmail@talkingbirds.co.uk beforehand – we’ll do our best to find an access solution with you, working around wherever the construction work is up to by the date of your visit.

The area around The Nest and the Daimler Powerhouse is on the brink of a transformation, as a new residential community grows up around us over the next year and a bit.

We’re really excited for the possibilities that a newly forming local community on our doorstep offers, but we’re rather less excited about the noise and dust…!

We’ll try and keep as much of our programme running at The Nest as we possibly can, but it’s likely that we’ll have to postpone some projects or events as we work around the development.

It’s also possible that the route from Sandy Lane to The Nest will look slightly different every time you visit – but we’ll try and keep you informed with what’s happening, as soon as we know more ourselves.

You can take a look at the plans on the city council planning portal.
